PLC Training

Practical PLC training for electricians, technicians and maintenance teams.

CIC provides hands-on Rockwell and Siemens PLC training focused on real industrial fault finding, I/O checks, online diagnostics, control circuits, sensors, VSDs, motors and production equipment.

Training options

Hands-on Rockwell & Siemens PLC training

Every option is built around doing, not slides — trainees spend their time on real Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC hardware, I/O, electrical drawings and realistic industrial fault-finding scenarios.

Rockwell PLC basics for electricians

Allen-Bradley hardware, I/O and online basics for electricians working around Rockwell-controlled plant.

Siemens PLC basics for electricians

Siemens hardware, I/O and online basics for electricians working around Siemens-controlled plant.

PLC fault finding for maintenance teams

A practical diagnostic process for machine stoppages — from symptom to I/O to field device.

Reading PLC I/O and electrical drawings

Working from drawings to the PLC and back — I/O lists, control circuits and field wiring.

Custom plant-based PLC training

Training built around your own machines and drawings, delivered on your site where practical.

Who it's for

Built for people who work on plant

  • Licensed electricians moving into industrial work
  • Maintenance electricians
  • Apprentices nearing completion
  • Plant maintenance teams
  • Electrical contractors needing controls confidence

What trainees practise

Skills practised hands-on

Everything is practised on real PLCs — I/O checks, sensors, relays, contactors, VSDs and motors, working from electrical drawings and tracing faults from the field device back to the PLC. The aim is practical troubleshooting confidence electricians can demonstrate on site.

  • PLC hardware overview
  • Inputs and outputs
  • Fault finding with I/O
  • Reading ladder logic basics
  • Tracing faults from field device to PLC
  • Sensors, relays, contactors, VSDs and motors
  • Safe diagnostic process

CIC PLC training is practical, hands-on training using real PLC hardware and industrial control scenarios. The focus is on building the skills employers actually look for: reading inputs and outputs, connecting field devices, tracing faults, using PLC software, understanding ladder logic, checking sensors and actuators, and diagnosing faults safely from the machine back to the controller.
