Control Panels

Control Panel Wiring & Installation in Sydney

CIC builds, modifies and installs industrial control panels for factories, OEMs and electrical contractors across Sydney and NSW.

Control panel wiring with labelled terminals and cable ducting

What control panel wiring covers

A control panel is the cabinet that powers and controls a machine or process — the DIN rail, terminals, relays, contactors, drives, PLC and the wiring that ties them together. CIC builds new panels to drawing and modifies, rewires or repairs existing ones for factories, OEMs and electrical contractors across Sydney and NSW.

Good panel wiring is the part nobody notices until commissioning: clear labelling, consistent ferrules, sensible cable management and terminations that hold up on a vibrating plant. We work to the issued schematics and mark up as-builts so the next person is not tracing wires by hand.

What we cover

  • New control panel wiring and assembly to drawing
  • Modifications, retrofits and additions to existing panels
  • On-site termination, installation and cut-overs
  • Field wiring and I/O loop checks
  • Cable management, labelling and as-built mark-ups
  • Pre-energisation checks and continuity testing

Inside the panels we wire

  • Control cabinets, enclosures and DIN-rail assemblies
  • Terminals, relays, contactors, motor starters and protection devices
  • VSDs / variable speed drives and soft starters
  • PLC racks, I/O cards and 24V control distribution
  • Cable management, glanding, labelling and ferruling
  • Continuity, point-to-point and pre-energisation testing

Who this is for

  • Switchboard and control panel builders
  • OEM machine builders
  • Maintenance teams running upgrades
  • Electrical contractors needing panel overflow help

Typical control panel jobs

  • A new panel built to drawing in the workshop or on site
  • An existing cabinet that needs a drive, starter or extra I/O added
  • Field terminations and cut-overs during an install or upgrade
  • A panel fault — overheating terminals, failed contactor, wiring error — that needs rectifying
  • Brownfield modifications where the drawings no longer match the cabinet

How CIC approaches this work

Workshop or site

We work in panel shops on builds or attend site for installation, modification, fault rectification and cut-over support.

Built to drawing

Wiring done to the issued drawings with clear labelling, sensible cable management and as-built mark-ups for the handover pack.

Coordinated with electrical work

Comfortable coordinating with site electricians, mechanical fitters and the panel builder so the install lands cleanly.
