Electrical Safety Services and OH&S Compliance
Almost any job around energised equipment could end in tragedy. Protect your workers, don’t take short cuts and never assume an electrical system is safe. Fortunately, Creative Industrial Controls Pty Ltd ensures your electrical equipment and accessories within the workplace are safe to use and fully compliant with statutory requirements.

Thermal Imaging
Safeguard your assets and eliminate costly downtime. We provide a range of non-destructive electrical thermography options to help you identify and resolve future problems.
Our services are designed to detect potential faults early, before they become problems. Once identified, we can help you rectify known issues, giving you the confidence to move forward.
With our non-destructive electrical thermography options, unexpected breakdowns in all types of plant can therefore be prevented well in advance of their becoming apparent, allowing maintenance and repairs to be scheduled and avoid downtime.
We present our findings in an easy-to-understand, comprehensive report. These come complete with heat map images and preventive or corrective repairs are noted with priority concerns.

Testing and Tagging
having a current, and compliant testing and tagging done will ensure you operate a safe workplace. This reduces the risk of electric shock to your staff while using the Electrical equipment. We use a combination of efficient work practices, bar-coded test tags, equipment and location numbering.
With hand held computers we are able to safely check equipment and record asset information and test results very efficiently. Our convenient, cost-effective service takes the guesswork out of the mandatory electrical compliance testing and automatically ensures that every piece of electrically operated equipment is identified, fully tested and tagged according to the Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760.

RCD and Safety Switch Testing
The role of a RCD is to provide a safety switch that disconnects a circuit when an electrical current imbalance is detected due to electrical current leakage to earth.
This leakage can be caused via a faulty appliance or through the body of a person accidentally touching an energized piece of equipment.
The disconnection or tripping of the RCD should happen within 300 milliseconds. If the RCD takes too long to trip the results could lead to a serious injury or fatality.
Our team can conduct regular and routine inspections of your RCDs to maintain a safe working environment for your employees.

Exit Lights and Signs
Exit and emergency lighting is used to aid visibility and safely guide people out of a building. Standard in hospitals, cinemas, shopping centres, and corporate dwellings, the law requires establishments to have the three most common exit and emergency lighting installations. These are:
-
Emergency escape lighting
-
Illuminated exit signs
-
Standby or back-up lighting
Beyond installation, did you know that in accordance to Australian Standards 2293.2, emergency lighting systems must be certified every six months?
These 90-minute battery power down tests (or discharge tests) ensure that all exit and emergency lighting units are fully functional and batteries can sustain their charge for 90 minutes during an emergency or evacuation situation (like a power blackout or building fire).
